Niacinamide

What does it do?

Niacinamide is a multifunctional active ingredient and a form of vitamin B3. It has powerful antioxidant properties, promotes collagen production, and has demonstrated effectiveness in both anti-ageing and moisturising, all of which contribute to the improvement of skin texture.

Where does it originate from?

Niacinamide can be naturally derived from niacin or made synthetically.

When should I use it?

This ingredient can be used day and night.

What skin type is it best suited to?

Niacinamide is compatible with all skin types, but its skin-balancing benefits make it ideal for a regime targeted to oily or combination skin.

What does it work well with?

Niacinamide pairs well with most ingredients. However, it works especially well with Azelaic Acid to help calm and balance complexions. Also, Aloe Vera due to its skin-soothing and balancing properties. Aloe Vera is also non-comedogenic, therefore will not block the pores.
