Q+A Loves: July '21 Edition

Hello!

And welcome to our final edition of Q+A Loves! Last year when we started sharing what the team was up to, it was a great way to stay connected and inspired throughout lockdown. Now that things are opening up again in the UK, and we're too busy seeing friends and trips to the pub (safely, of course), it seems like the right time to move on. Not to worry though, we've got a great monthly series for you coming up in August that will still help you get to know us and optimise your skincare routine at the same time!

I hope you enjoy our last instalment, and are keeping safe and healthy wherever you are ☺️

What have we been watching?

It's all about that new entertainment this month...

Love Island

It's back for another series, and not just one member of team Q+A was tuning in! Lucy, Rose, Paige, Saskia and Tim are hooked on the drama

Clarkson's Farm

Al and Julia have been tuning in to Jeremy Clarkson's attempts at running a farm throughout a number of amusing challenges with this documentary - maybe some farming inspo for themselves?

What are we listening to?

Songs for your next picnic, perhaps?

BIPP by SOPHIE (Autechre Mx)

Andrew

17 Going Under by Sam Fender

Lucy

Want you Back by HAIM

Isabella

Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond

Julia

Lining Your Pockets by Ocean Colour Scene

Tim

In Her Eyes by The Jungle Giants

Amy

What are we reading?

We love a good balance between fiction and non-fiction...

Invisible Women - Caroline Criado Perez

Paige used July to read this data and case study based investigation into how even everyday items and processes are geared towards men, and the impact that has on all of us!

The Girl Before - JP Delaney

New to Team Q+A, Saskia is starting strong with this psychological thriller that follows a woman moving into a new house, and her life intertwining with the non deceased previous tenant...

Speak, Memory - Vladimir Nabokov

Rich's pick this month was this autobiographical memoir filled with essays from the author, including details of his major written works such as the famous Lolita.

Emperors of Chocolate - Joël Glenn Brenner

For a book that might make your mouth water, Al's choice follows the brand Mars as they were incorporated in to the Hershey Company, with plenty of history and interesting looks into the chocolate industry like never seen before!

Flames - Robbie Arnott

Sometimes the time calls for a reread of your favourite novel to get you through (in this case, a Sydney lockdown), and I recommend it for anyone who prefers an anthology style read!

Britney Spears Court Transcripts

Isabella was staying updated this month on the ongoing case to have the singer's conservatorship removed, looking for some positive news to come soon!

What else have we been up to?

Our final batch of hobbies and activities doesn't disappoint...

Paddle Boarding

Chloe and Rose both made use of lovely summertime weather to go paddle boarding, with Chloe upping the ante with a seven person board - that's a lot trust to put in your friends keeping their balance!

Honeymooning

A big congrats to Tim for tying the knot this month, and great to hear he and his wife enjoyed their honeymoon sunbathing in Ibiza! To say we're a little jealous would be an understatement!

Hedgehog Watching

Janet was gifted a hedgehog house for the spiky residents of her backyard, and within a day of setting it up she already had two new tenants!

Running

Some lockdown habits stick! Andrew is still prioritising his outdoor fitness this month, or perhaps a good excuse to wear his new Nike Air Max ?

Enjoying Father/Daughter time

When it's time to turn off Peppa Pig, Rich has the perfect remedy for his daughter, a new dolly - adorable!

Which Q+A products have we been reaching for?

We've got some standouts!

Tim gave our Collagen Face Cream a shout out this month, saying that he loves it as a non-greasy daily moisturiser which is keeping him looking as young as 18! Unfortunately we can't make than an official benefit! Saskia is loving the Apple AHA Exfoliating Gel for making her skin smooth and glowy, and Paige is feeling hydrated all day long thanks to the Super Food Facial Oil!

But drawing for the win this July are none other than two of our newest additions, Niacinamide Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser and Zinc PCA Daily Moisturiser! Andrew has made the cleanser his wakeup call, and Rose can't get enough of the fresh feeling you get from such gentle exfoliation. On the other hand, Lucy and Chloe have been using their moisturisers under their makeup to create a smooth even base that keeps pores to a minimum. So if you haven't tried one of these great products, consider this your encouragement.

And we close the chapter on July! Thank you for reading with us through this series, I hope you've been inspired throughout our extra home time, and here's to lots of new adventures in the near future. And of course, see you at the end of August for something new!

Over and out!
